Bradley May – Info@mayhemfitness.com.au
This study aims to gather data that will allow for comparison of athletes of breast implant injuries, the time lost in training and competing due to injuries, including:
This study forms part of Phase 1 of a project conducted by Bradley May with Mayhem Fitness PTY LTD. Phase 1 of the project, an online survey of elite, professional and semi-professional female athletes across all sports (total number of sports will be confirmed after phase 1). Given the rapid increase in the number of females participating at elite, professional and semi-professional levels in sports, the issue of breast implant injuries needs to be addressed to ascertain the types of injury, recovery time and rehab time to get the athlete back to a competitive standard.
Phase 2 of this research will investigate the type of breast injury and time negated from the athletes training and competition. This specific project will provide input from athletes, athletic and medical staff with regard to breast implant injuries, recovery, rehab and back to competitive standard. Theresults will be published within a research thesis. Results may also be published in scientific journals or in conference presentations and publications.
This is an invitation for you to participate. If you choose to be involved in the study, you must be an athlete with a current or previous breast implant injury caused by sport or in training or must be athletic or medical staffs that are, in some capacity, involved with a female with breast augmentationinjury at a elite, professional and semi-professional level.
If you participate in the study, you will be asked to answer a one-page, ten-question survey online, which will take approximately 3 minute.
